Ron Glidden

Trainer and Author

Ron developed his passion for both training and leadership while assigned as an instructor at the Coast Guard Training Center on Governor’s Island, NY. Following his enlistment, Ron worked as a patrol officer, a sergeant, a training officer, and a police chief. During his 17-year tenue as chief, Ron completed a master’s degree in criminal justice, and worked as an adjunct instructor at a regional police academy. Ron also worked as instructor and eventually served as president of the Municipal Police Institute where he developed and taught leadership courses.

Ron retired from law enforcement in 2011 and began traveling the country presenting his leadership strategies to law enforcement organizations, municipalities, and associations. His practical solutions to common employee problems have established his reputation as an authority on employee performance.

Ron has authored numerous books including his latest, Workplace Gold, which is an essential resource for any leader looking for practical and effective leadership strategies. Ron also writes a weekly series called Bulletproof Leadership Tips that are emailed each week to his subscriber list.

Ron is a Life Member of the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association and the International Association of Chiefs of Police. While he lives on Cape Cod (Massachusetts), he travels throughout the United States to inspire and invigorate audiences with his lively and empowering message.
